Buzzell, Welsh & Hill congratulates attorney Josh Carroll on his recent appointment as the Chairman of the Civil Justice PAC of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA).

Since 1956, the GTLA has worked to provide access to the courts for all Georgians. As the GTLA’s political wing, the Civil Justice PAC furthers these goals, supporting lawmakers and candidates who work to uphold the civil justice system. As a bipartisan organization, it’s also one of the most respected political action committees in the state.

“The Civil Justice PAC does so much to represent all Georgians and our constitutional right to justice,” said Josh Carroll. “I’m thrilled to be serving the organization in this new capacity as I continue the work I do on behalf of my clients.”

As Chairman, Josh will lead the PAC and its board, providing a crucial voice now and through next year’s legislative session. “It’s a complicated time for Georgia politics,” Carroll added. “We’ll be meeting with lawmakers from across the state, learning about their proposed policies and vision while educating them about the civil justice system.”

“The Chairman position is critical to the ongoing success of the GTLA and the work we do for the people of this state,” said Dan Snipes, GTLA President. “I’m looking forward to working with Josh as he takes on this new role.”

Having already served as Treasurer, Secretary and Chairman-Elect, Josh understands the organization and is well positioned to serve.

“Josh has already shown great leadership within the Civil Justice PAC,” said Caroline McLean, Civil Justice PAC Executive Director. “His practice area expertise, his awareness of current state issues and his commitment to the GTLA’s Mission have made him a respected voice in our legal community.”

As chairman, Josh will also sit on the GTLA Executive Committee.

“Josh does such great work representing the interests of our clients here in Macon,” said Steve Welsh, Managing Partner of Buzzell, Welsh & Hill. “We’re confident he will be able to accomplish the same results at the state level.”
