Stay Safe on Valentine’s Day

It’s an exciting day full of chocolates, love letters and special moments. Sometimes, though, this sweet day can very quickly turn sour, and we’re not talking break-ups. Injuries can play a part in your festivities if you don’t use caution.

Keeping Hearts and Bones Unbroken

Since it’s no fun to have an accident or injury ruin your evening, here are a few ways to stay safe on Valentine’s Day:

  • Romantic dinner at home: If you’re preparing a meal together, it can be easy to get distracted with conversation and cut more than vegetables. You certainly don’t want to spend your date night at the hospital.
  • Watch the flames: You may be on fire for your Valentine, but you should do all you can to avoid real flame. If you light candles, keep watch over them. If you’re cooking, don’t leave the stove or oven unattended.
  • Let’s dance: If you’re going dancing, make sure to stretch and start out slow. You don’t want to overextend yourself or break a leg!
  • Don’t drive off into the sunset: A glass of wine or champagne should be just fine, but be careful about indulging in too much alcohol. If you’ve had too much, call a cab (or schedule a limo for a nice surprise). It’s not worth a crash with your crush.

We want to make sure that you have a day of love and laughter, not pain and disaster, so please use caution when making your plans. We hope you have a fun Valentine’s Day!
