Jed Hill has always called Middle Georgia home. Originally from Cochran, he began his studies at Middle Georgia College (now Middle Georgia State University) before transferring to Mercer University. There, he discovered both his passion for the law and his love for Macon itself. After enrolling at Mercer Law School, he met his wife, a Macon native, and together they decided to plant their roots here.
Jed’s connection to Buzzell, Welsh & Hill began early, in 2002, when he started clerking at the firm as a Mercer Law student. He has been practicing law at BWH since 2005. From the start, Jed knew this was the work he wanted to do. “Without us,” he explains, “most individuals would never have an advocate strong enough to stand up to the big insurance companies.” That sense of purpose continues to guide Jed’s work today, whether he’s helping someone after a car or truck accident, fighting for justice in a wrongful death case, or seeking fair compensation for injured workers.
Outside the office, Jed enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He’s an avid outdoorsman who likes hunting, fishing, jogging, hiking, and traveling. Jed and his family are also active members of Christ Church, Macon.
For Jed, the most rewarding part of his career is the long-term relationships he builds. Many former clients stay in touch, referring friends and family. “At the end of the day,” Jed adds, “we fight for people and obtain results that truly change lives. That’s what makes this work so meaningful.”
